MindSpeed app privacy policy
Last updated Nov 3, 2026
This policy covers the MindSpeed app for iPhone, iPad and Android. The app has no account and no sign-in, and your test results stay on your device. The website mindspeed.iqtestcoach.com has its own privacy policy.
What stays on your device
Your test results, history, cognitive profile, language and display settings are stored only on your device. They are never sent to us, and deleting the app deletes them.
What the app sends
The app sends only the following:
- Requests to our server mindspeed.iqtestcoach.com to load reference values and the weekly leaderboards. Like any internet request they reveal your IP address, which is kept in server logs for a short time for security; your results are not sent.
- Usage statistics (Firebase Analytics): screens viewed, tests started and finished, app version, device model, operating system, language and approximate country, linked to a random identifier of the app installation.
- Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics): technical details of a crash such as the stack trace, device model and app version.
- Notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging): a push token, the app version and your language are registered with our notification service so we can send occasional news about the app. Notifications are only shown if you allow them, and you can turn them off at any time in the system settings.
Ads
The app is free and shows ads from Google AdMob: a banner on lists, a full-screen ad after some results and, only if you choose to watch it, a short video that opens your whole history for 24 hours. AdMob may use your device's advertising identifier and IP address to show and measure ads.
On iPhone and iPad the advertising identifier is only used if you allow tracking in the system prompt; on Android you can reset or delete it in the system settings. Where the law requires consent (for example in the EU/EEA and the UK) you are asked first. Without your permission, ads are non-personalised. Your test results are never shared with advertisers.
How Google uses data from apps that use its services: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
No purchases and no accounts
The app sells nothing and has no in-app purchases. It has no sign-in, so we hold no name, email address or password of app users.
Service providers
- Google: Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, Firebase Cloud Messaging and AdMob, as described above.
- DigitalOcean (hosting) and Cloudflare (network delivery and protection) for our server.
How long data is kept
Results stay on your device until you delete the app. Usage statistics are kept for up to 14 months, crash reports for up to 90 days and server logs for a short period.
Your choices and rights
You can limit ad tracking in your device settings (iPhone and iPad: Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking; Android: Settings › Google › Ads) and turn notifications off in the system settings. Because the app has no account, the data above is not linked to your name; you can still write to us with any question or request about it. Depending on where you live, you may also complain to a data protection authority.
Children
MindSpeed is meant for people aged 13 and over and is not directed at children.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above.
